      The Objective

      The Course of Logistics Management is designed to cultivate students with with theories,  knowledge and skills in the area of logistics management and develop students to be a logistics manager.

      Knowledge, Skills and Capability

      Students who complete the Course will be able to understand and apply theories and practices to logistics management, possess knowledge and skills to solve operational issues in domestic or international logistics, comply with regulations and standards both domestic and international in logistics operations. 

      Content

      The Course of Logistics Management contains theories and practices, technologies and skills in the area of procurement, production, warehousing, transportation, distribution and supply chains for the major of Procurement and Supply Chain Management or the theories and practices, technologies and skills in the area of international procurement, overseas production, across-border warehousing, transnational transportation, global distribution and supply chains for the major of International Logistics Management. The Course is of 4-year duration.

      Procurement and Supply Environment Analysis, Business Negotiation, Contract Management, Procurement and Supply Business, Procurement and Supply strategies

      Core Unis for the Major in  International Logistics Management

      International Logistics and Freight Forwarding, Container Transportation Management, International Cargo Transportation and Insurance, International Logistics Documentation

      Practicum Units

      Enterprise cognitive internship, basic operations of logistics, ERP sand table exercise, metalworking practice, logistics center project operation, specialty ability comprehensive training, campus simulated comprehensive practice, specialty internship, graduation practice, graduation thesis.

      Delivery

      The Course is delivered in lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practicum laboratories in the first 3 years on-campus and internship in the fourth year in companies off-campus or abroad.   

      Assessments

      The Course will be assessed by progressive learning tasks, final examination and graduation thesis/dissertation.

      Award

      Bachelor of Management will be awarded to those who meet the requirements of graduation.

      Graduates majoring in Procurement and Supply Chain Management could seek a career in logistics industries and undertake various tasks of production, service-oriented industrial and commercial enterprises, and government and industry authorities and be engaged in commodity procurement management, business negotiation, bidding, warehouse management, transportation management, production and operation, quality inspection, and customer maintenance management.

      Graduates majoring in International Logistics Management could seek a career in logistics industries and undertake tasks in international cargo declaration, inspection, freight forwarding, international express delivery, international shipping operations, and international air transportation operations.

      Graduates could seek jobs in government agencies and industry departments such as foreign trade companies, shipping companies, air transport companies, customs companies, freight forwarding companies, and customs offices.
